Brake Pedal Force and Distance Testing Application
Accurate measurement of force and distance is a common brake testing application. As the pedal is pressed, the Interface BPL Pedal Load Cell measures force and an LVDT sensor calculates the distance. Brake Caliper Testing Application
A brake caliper is a component in a disc brake system that houses the brake pads and applies pressure to them, causing them to clamp onto the brake disc or rotor. Over time, the caliper changes due to factors like aging, temperature fluctuations, and environmental conditions. As a result, it becomes crucial to calibrate continuously and test calipers to ensure optimal braking performance and vehicle safety. The LW General Purpose Load Washer Load Cell is placed between the piston and brake pad of the caliper of the car, undergoing a brake pad test. The brake pad test is conducted. The force data collected from the LW is displayed, graphed, and logged on the customer’s PC or laptop when connected to the SI-USB4 4-Channel USB Interface Module. Wireless Brake Pedal Force Testing
Pedal force testing is critical in determining vehicle safety protocols. To quantify the braking system’s effectiveness, the relationship between pedal force and braking force at the axle must be determined during an on-road stopping test or in a simulated indoor environment using a dynamometer, where pedal force can be assessed. The Model BPL Pedal Load Cell Load is installed on the pedal so that the output cable to the transmitter is free from snagging throughout the entire pedal pumping cycle. Mount the transmitter WTS-AM-1E safely so there is enough slack in the cable for a full pedal pumping cycle. The Module transmits wirelessly to the WTS Toolkit App. Using the WTS Wireless System with the receiver (WTS-BS-6), force readings from the load cell can be displayed, logged, and graphed directly on a computer.
