Abundance of Interface Technical Resources

Interface understands that access to technical resources and support is critical to the success of our customer’s projects and programs. It is why we have identified ways to ensure that easy access to downloadable information and support resources are available 24/7 from our website.

Where to Find Interface Product and Support Resources

  1. Each product has a detailed specification datasheet, simply click on the product and log in to the site to download the information.
  2. For easy comparison of products in a family group, such as load cells or torque transducers, visit our product literature section to view our complete catalog, or download the summary catalog with models and product family brochures.
  3. Product design CAD and STP files are available under each product listed on our site for immediate download.
  4. If you can’t find a design file, click here to request a CAD file.
  5. All of our installation and operation manuals are easily accessible online here.
  6. Our robust Technical Library has a wide range of resources, including a Troubleshooting Guide, Load Cell Primer, Terminology section, and more.

We affirmed support is important based on our recent Customer Satisfaction Survey when we asked buyers of Interface products and services how we can provide extended value. Technical product information ranked in the top requests, along with technical and set-up support. Save this link to access all of Interface’s 24/7 online support resources.

If you are not finding what you need, contact us here for support, or locate a local representative in your area. We are here to answer your questions and provide you the assistance you need. Our application experts and engineers are ready to help.

The Interface Strain Gage Advantage

Strain gages are technically the ‘heart and soul’ of a load cell. It powers every aspect of the sensor component, and the strain gage quality dictates a significant portion of the load cells’ overall quality. Interface’s proprietary strain gages – made at our Arizona manufacturing headquarters – provide several key benefits, including:

  • A higher output of 4mV/V, while competitors provide 3mV/V or less, leading to superior performance, flexibility, and accuracy.
  • The ability to perform hot and cold thermal compensation, from 15˚ – 115˚F, while competitors typically only provide heat compensation (60˚ – 160˚F).
  • Eight strain gages per load cell compared to our competitors’ four gages, provides superior compensation of eccentric loads to further minimize resulting errors.
  • Higher signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Higher resolution in precision measurement applications.
  • Superior fatigue life.

Additionally, customization of the strain gages is a critical factor in ensuring the load cell is meeting the specific requirements of a customer’s project. Read more about the Interface strain gage advantage here.

Sensors Used for Commercial Unmanned Aircraft Vehicles

Load cells play a huge part in the design and development of unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAV), including in the growth of drones for business purposes. Beyond actual product and flight testing, there is a level of complexity present when you introduce carrying objects via a UAV. These specialized aircraft require ongoing monitoring while in flight through sensors. UAV design engineers are utilizing sensors to measure continuous weight distribution, as well as ensuring safety to anyone on the ground. Interface created a new animated application

Our Latest 2020 Customer Survey Results

Earning our customer’s confidence by providing high-quality products and exceptional customer experience is fundamental in everything we do. To maintain our focus on the customer, we use a formalized survey to engage and learn from all those that rely on us. In our latest survey, we used the Net Promoter Score question to assess how we are doing, followed by four additional questions. Thank you to all those that provided valuable insights. We are excited to report that Interface’s NPS score in the Fall 2020 Customer Satisfaction Survey is +62. Read more about the insights we gathered from our customers in this new wrap-up.
