Test and Measurements From Land to Sea

With tens of thousands of products, you can only imagine the range of applications that we learn about when matching load cells, torque transducers, multi-axis sensors, and instruments that are suited to the user’s exact requirements. Interface sensor technologies and accessories are being used across many industries for all types of uses. Some are embedded into equipment to measure performance, and others to test some of the most intricate designs used for vehicles on the road, in the sky, and up in space. We’ve created industry solutions to highlight possibilities for test and measurement.

New Industry Solutions to Explore

  • Agriculture – Check out some interesting applications that use load cells, instruments, and wireless telemetry systems for equine and cattle equipment, tractors, and other farming equipment.
  • Maritime – Discover force measurement solutions used for marine tension line testing, rigging, hoisting, oil exploration, shipyard cranes, submersible applications, and other near and offshore use cases.
  • Infrastructure – Interface load cells, load pins, instrumentation, multi-axis sensors, and torque transducers are top choices for construction, structure monitoring, load-bearing, and other civil infrastructure applications.

We are also adding new use cases and animated application notes, including a new automotive industry headrest testing machine video, and some aerospace and industrial
automation
solutions. Let’s explore together. How can we help you?

New Twist on Torque Online Event Is Now Open for Registration

Join us to talk about what’s new with torque transducers on Thursday, April 29. Join Randy White, who will be discussing the designs, specifications, and applications for using various rotary and reactionary torque transducers. The event will also cover questions we get every day, like: can you customize transducers, what about calibration, and what types of instrumentation and accessories do I need for my project test plan? We’ll also explore inventive new use cases for torque. Register today!

Load Cell Basics: Sensor Specifications

Sensor specifications are essential to understanding how they will influence accuracy, performance, and reliability. The sensor specifications convey the max error of numerous parameters. The specifications are expressed using the following values – %FS, %RO, %, %/°F, time-related. Specifications listed in product spec sheets relate to the max error for accuracy and temperature. Accuracy specifications will provide information related to static error band, non-linearity, hysteresis, non-repeatability, creep, side load sensitivity, and eccentric load sensitivity. Temperature specifications will detail compensated range, operating range, effect on zero, and effect on span. Interface provides all sensor specification data for our load cells in the product datasheets
found on each product page for easy download. Read more about these specifications here.

Technical White Paper Details ConvexBT Load Button Load Cell Design

In this new white paper, we have detailed the innovative features, capacities, and benefits of our new ConvexBT Load Button Load Cell product line. ConvexBT was introduced due to the growing trend of electronics miniaturization in countless hardware components. ConvexBT is engineered to fit in
tight spaces to test compression force with ultimate precision. The performance is unlike any other load button load cell of these capacities and dimensions in the world. It’s well-suited for industries like medical and industrial automation, where product reduction in size is prevalent throughout product designs and sensor fit requirements. You can access the entire paper here.
