Interface Highlights Bending Beams, Material Testing, Aircraft, Tensile Tests and More

Interface offers several bending beam load cells in our Mini Load Cell product line. When you need a versatile, accurate, and economical solution for weighing and force measurement applications, these are ideal miniature load cells.

The Interface Bending Beam Load Cells are dimensionally small, which makes them ideal for compact testing environments. With the diverse range of models and capacities, the bending beam offers flexibility for different use cases. They are used in test machines and as the primary sensor embedded into equipment and products for continuous performance measurement.

INTERFACE’S MOST POPULAR BEAM LOAD CELLS

MB Miniature Beam Load Cell: Model MB is available in standard capacities of 5 to 250 lbf (22.2 N to 1.11 kN) with performance to 0.03%, low deflection, low height of 0.99 in (25.1 mm), and a ±0.0008% /˚F – max temperature effect on output.

MBI Overload Protected Miniature Beam Load Cell: Model MBI has better resistance to off-axis loads than similar load cells and is fatigue-rated. MBIs are available in standard capacities from 2 to 10 lbf (10 to 50 N) and have 10x overload protection.

MBP Overload Protected Miniature Beam Load Cell: Model MBP has patented overload protection (2.5-10lbf ±1000% of full-scale capacity, 100 N ±500% of full-scale capacity). Available in standard capacities from 2 to 10 lbf (10 to 50 N), MBPs offer 10X overload. They come with a NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate.

MBS Parallelogram Load Cell: The MBS is made of lightweight aluminum construction and is highly suitable for OEM applications, such as medical devices, robotics, and product components that require precision measurements. Available in capacities from 2.2 to 10 lbf (9.8 to 44.5 N), the MBS offers a nonlinearity error of 0.02% FS.

Shear and bending beams are straight blocks fixed on one end and loaded on the opposite end. Bending beams are more compact; however, shear beams are customizable to a smaller form factor for larger capacity applications. Contact Interface AEs if you have a specific size or capacity requirement.
