LW General Purpose Load Washer Load Cell and WTS Wireless Telemetry System

Wireless Load Washer System

The LW General Purpose Load Washer Load Cell measures tensile or compressive forces within bolted joints, fasteners, and structural assemblies. Its mV/V output is connected to the WTS-AM-1E Wireless Strain Bridge Transmitter Module, which converts the sensor signal into wireless telemetry data. The WTS-HK-S Next Generation Wireless Handheld receives and displays real-time force measurements, creating a complete portable monitoring system for load verification, structural testing, and field measurement applications.

WTS-AM-1E Wireless Strain Bridge Transmitter Module

4-Wireless Strain Bridge Transmitter Module

The WTS-AM-1E Wireless Strain Bridge Transmitter Module connects to strain bridge transducers such as load cells, torque sensors, strain gauges and pressure modules and forms part of the WTS modular telemetry system. The data transmitted by the WTS-AM-1E can be received by multiple WTS receivers that include displays, handheld readers, analog outputs, relay modules and computer interfaces.

WTS transmitters have been designed for battery operation and support an ultra low-power sleep mode whilst offering class leading wireless coverage and range. Configurable transmission rates from once per day to 200 per second cope with a wide range of measurement and monitoring applications. A choice of enclosures enabling battery connection, field connectivity and environmental sealing up to IP67 ensure these modules provide a flexible solution to your wireless sensor requirements.

The WTS-AM-1E provides 5 V excitation to drive transducer loads down to 85 ohms. This transmitter is highly accurate, low noise and uses up to nine point linearization giving quality measurements from a wide range of strain bridge transducers.

WTS-HK-S Next-Generation Wireless Handheld

Portable, Digital, Hand Held, Battery Powered, Display

The WTS-HK-S is a next-generation wireless handheld that combines the most popular features of the WTS-BS-1, WTS-BS-1-HS, and WTS-BS-1-HA into a single, versatile device. A single unit can be configured as needed, reducing inventory requirements and engineering setup time. Out of the box, it operates in roaming mode, automatically detecting and displaying data from up to twelve nearby WTS transmitters at ranges up to 800 m (2,600 ft). For more advanced applications, users can define up to twelve specific inputs with custom settings such as calibrated units and overload alerts. Configuration can be completed directly from the handheld menu, while full setup, saving, and loading of configurations can be performed using the free WTS Toolkit software. Menu items can be locked or hidden with PIN and password protection to prevent accidental changes, and the display can be customized to suit specific operational needs. Firmware updates via the toolkit allow access to new features, including mathematical functions for calculations such as sums, differences, and load determination based on sling angles. The license-free 2.4 GHz DSSS radio provides reliable, interference-resistant communication with FCC, ETSI, and IC approvals.
