Force Plates 3A Series 3-Axis Load Cells and BX8-HD44 BlueDAQ Series Data Acquisition System for Multi-Axis Sensors with Lab Enclosure System

Force Plates and Data Acquisition System

Four 3A120 3-Axis Force Load Cells positioned between two force plates measure forces along the X, Y, and Z axes at each support point. BX8-HD44 BlueDAQ Data Acquisition Systems excite, condition, digitize, and synchronously sample the 12 measurement signals. BlueDAQ Software enables channel configuration, graphical monitoring, and data logging, creating a complete system for analyzing force distribution and multidirectional loading across the plates.

3A120

3A Series 3-Axis Force Load Cells

3-Axis Force Measurement

Force: 11.2 lbf to 1.12K lbf
Force: 50 N to 5 kN

Interface’s 3A 3-axis load cells measures forces simultaneously in 3 mutually perpendicular axes: X, Y, and Z – tension and compression. Each axis provides a unique mV/V output and requires no mathematical manipulation. The 3-axis load cell is built to minimize eccentric loading effects and crosstalk between axes.

The 3A120 is ideally suited to many industrial and scientific applications, such as aerospace, robotics, automotive and medical research (orthopedics and bio-mechanical).

The load cell is provided in various capacity ranges and sizes with each of the three axes providing the same capacity.

We are happy to work with your design needs – providing a custom design if warranted for varying capacities (between X, Y, and Z), higher temperature capability, or OEM/private labeling if needed.

Features & Benefits

  • 6-Axis – force and torque in all six axes
  • Capacities – Force 20N to 1.2kN, Torque 1Nm to 60Nm
  • Compact size
  • Force and moment values MUST be calculated using supplied 36-term coefficient matrix
  • Low crosstalk
  • Temperature compensated
  • Mounting per DIN EN ISO 9409-1
  • Optional BX8 amplifier and software can be used for force and moment value calculation

Force Plates

Multi-Axis Force Plates

Force plates use multiple multi-axis load cells mounted between rigid upper and lower plates to measure forces along the X, Y, and Z axes. The individual sensor outputs are conditioned and mathematically combined to calculate resultant forces, moments, load distribution, and center of pressure. Proper mechanical alignment, calibration, and cross-talk compensation help ensure accurate measurement of complex dynamic and static loads.

BX8 HD44 Front

BX8-HD44 BlueDAQ Series Data Acquisition System for Multi-Axis Sensors with Lab Enclosure

8-Channel BlueDaq Data Acquisition System

Model BX8-HD44 BlueDAQ Series Data Acquisition System for Multi-Axis Sensors with Lab Enclosure is the newest addition to Interface’s family of measurement systems. Easy enough for the inexperienced user but powerful enough for the sophisticated test engineer, with the BX8 anyone can be up and measuring in minutes. Designed specifically for use with mV/V output sensors such as force, torque and pressure along with PT1000 thermocouples, and ±10V output sensors, the BX8 puts graphing, logging and display capabilities at a user’s fingertips. The BX8 also includes 1/4 and 1/2 bridge completion for seamless integration of strain gage measurements. Eight independent, user configurable, 16-bit scalable analog outputs can be connected to external devices.

The BX8 is ideally suited for use with 6-axis sensors requiring axis load calculations. The sensor coefficient matrix can be loaded internally into the BX8 via software interface and the outputs are actively scaled according to the calculations. All channels are sampled simultaneously and fully synchronized. When purchased with a 6-axis sensor, the system will arrive pre-configured and ready to use.

SystemLevelCalibration

System Level Calibration

Interface strongly recommends requesting a system-level calibration when purchasing a force measurement sensor with instrumentation. This final step ensures the sensor and instrumentation are properly calibrated and functioning together before leaving Interface.
