Materials Testing
Interface provides load cells for material test machine manufacturers throughout the world. From our Ultra Low Capacity (ULC), the most accurate gram load cell in the world, the SMT, with 10X over load protection is utilize for most of the major manufacturers of test machines because of its unequaled accuracy and robust design. S-Type cells (SM and SSM) were invented by Interface in 1974 and have become the most widely used load cells in the world. Interface S-Type load cells continue to be used by the most meticulous companies for their material test machines. The fatigue rated 1500 series and 1000 series are designed for 100,000,000 fully reversed cycles and are available in capacities from 25 lbf to 1,000,000 lbf. The 1200 series by Interface is the static load cell of choice for more test machine companies than any other manufacturer’s load cell and is available in capacities from 300 lbf to 2,000,000 lbf. Interface also offers a broad range of torque transducers and axial torque transducers for material testing.
